Contemporary Artists working in all mediums Mixed Media, Painting, New Media and Sculpture are welcome to apply. The gallery specializes in sculpture and installation art.

Creating amazing conversations and experiences through art is our goal.

The gallery has 3 scenarios artists are brought into the gallery (1.) By invitation (2.) in a short term trial Membership model giving artists continual exposure with work on display or made available to gallery guests - minimum 6 month commitment (3.) paid specific positions in an exhibition - locations prices vary depending on size and visibility. Artists with extensive exhibition histories, teaching art at universities or in museum collections or with exclusive bodies of work have preference.

  1. Application process considers artists and their work for our physical gallery

  2. Some artists with extensive exhibition histories, in museum collections, teaching at universities may be invited by the gallery and exempt from the membership model. Representation agreements or exclusive work representation agreements are customized - the monthly membership is designed to put artists and their commitment to the gallery on a sustainable long term track..

  3. Artists (early career etc.) not working in styles sought may apply under our membership model where the gallery provides 6 month term for 1-10 works and potential for inclusion in our main gallery exhibitions. Member artists could receive one online solo exhibition per year ($200 value) if desired. Member Artists may become eligible for standard exhibition agreements with exclusive bodies of work. The fee is paid monthly $60 per month - first and last upfront. Works selected remain on hand at the gallery and for 60 days post contract. Commissions are 40% and when an artist directs a client to the gallery the commission is reduced to 20%

  4. All artists are monitored and vetted for their commitment and support to the gallery.

  5. fooLPRoof gallery membership model is designed to give artists a continual physical presence in the gallery with works available online as well - rather than one short exhibition as in many other gallery models.

  6. Featured Exhibition or solo exhibition opportunities in the Physical Gallery can be discussed after vetting, with 4-6 months advance planning, for a fee or minimum sales. Front or rear of front. Works must remain on hand for 150 days post event unless specifically excepted.

  7. Online exhibitions are being phased out and expanding into Artsy as a partner. Image preparation may have a fee and sales processing or packaging may as well. Offering exposure on ARTSY must be with work(s) exclusive to the gallery. Currently Online exhibitions with 4-week cycles for Members are possible - works exhibited must be on hand in the gallery, not exhibited elsewhere.

  8. The gallery exhibitions all have Press releases, PR material and ads. The artists are not involved in these tasks other than to promote events. Promoting the events & creating a synergy is expected. An artist’s success is limited by their ability to create a synergy.

  9. Individual PR, General Press releases and marketing packages are available at additional cost from $250-$450 depending on what is desired. Coaching on acceptable personal PR is advised and available.

  10. Banner and Billboard graphic material for outdoors are additional.

  11. Invoices are issued for monthly membership fees and exhibition fees

For artists with advanced practices - the gallery takes a custom approach to each artist representation or agreement. Artists with advanced practices might include: artists teaching in higher education or with work in museum collections - your inquiry is welcome. All exhibiting Artists directing clients to the gallery receive a reduced commission if a sale is completed.

The gallery has set out these processes to provide a means for early and mid-career artists to introduce themselves to the gallery, the art tourism traffic the district and gallery generate or the broader Denver market

One of our primary goals is to save clients money and put more dollars in artists pockets through lower commissions and opportunities to have continual exposure.

Out of State Artists and Craftsmen may apply - Out of State Represented Artists may apply for single cycle feature or solo exhibition opportunities under the appropriate mutually beneficial circumstances - expose your work to the Denver Market or for work from art fairs such as Art Basel.

Steps:

Artists submit an application by tendering a portfolio of 5-6 images and a fine art CV together with a brief artists statement and bio, a Price List with dimensions and titles, together with the review fee of $35. The material and artist’s work is reviewed to determine if a fit for the gallery. If an artists is not applying for membership, the artists should explain their interests, advanced practice or experience in fine art.

During an artist’s application the gallery may review artist goals, the artist’s commitment to the success of the gallery and how the artist’s practice aligns with gallery objectives. Please be prepared to discuss or illustrate the potential for or exclusive body of work.

The application fee supports the time to review, discuss and vet artists’ commitment to their visual practices while considering quality, professionalism and dedication to contemporary art. Portfolio and CV review frequently includes feedback. Artists may be directed to bring documents to a MLA standard. Consider having your CV in the proper MLA format.  References may be required.

Artists please make sure you have all the required information together when submitting an application. The Gallery Director WILL NOT VISIT WEBSITES TO SELECT WORK and will not consider or review incomplete applications.

Final Overview:

Please follow the instructions in this section. Please review the outline of required documents and attachments required for a successful application. All applications and proposals are considered.  The gallery curates work into cohesive high end exhibitions. Broad contemporary themes make it relatively easy to fit into exhibitions. Artists are required to consider not only the best practices for the gallery but, the potential for scaling their work up or for custom commercial, public or unique residential applications - collaborations of installations using artists pieces may be considered. The gallery vets artists to be in our roster for ongoing opportunities and project considerations. Licensing agreements are also considered, which can be complex, considerations of such nature would entail a fee. These scenarios might be considered for dimensionally variable projects involving 2-d works or even NFTs in a rare instance.
